Branch World Series

This employee engagement activity was designed as a friendly, sports themed competition to drive production, strengthen teamwork, and keep energy high during the month.

The branch was divided into two “teams,” with assistant leaders serving as team captains. The entire activity was built around a baseball style game where employees earned “bases” for different production outcomes. These bases translated into runs, and the team with the most runs at the end of the month received a reward from leadership.

Employee actions were tied directly to business results:
• Opening a checking account earned 1 base
• Closing a credit card earned 2 bases
• Closing a loan without additional products earned 1 base
• Closing a loan with additional products earned 3 bases
• Closing a loan with products over $20,000 earned a home run

The goals for the month included:
• 32 new checking accounts
• $210,000 in lending volume
• 3 credit cards
• 40% debt protection penetration
• 50% GAP penetration
• 10% MBP penetration

By the end of the competition, the team exceeded several key goals. They slightly surpassed the checking account target, increased credit card production beyond the goal, and achieved strong penetration improvements in GAP and MBP. While lending volume did not reach the original target, overall production reflected strong engagement and momentum across multiple product lines.

This approach combined gamification, clear metrics, and team energy to reinforce desired behaviors and create a fun, motivating environment for employees.
