Financial Institution: Service Credit Union
This branch created a Jeopardy style learning board to make daily training, knowledge sharing, and team development more engaging and interactive. The goal is to turn everyday learning into a fun, low pressure activity that strengthens understanding of products, procedures, and member experience expectations while building team confidence.
Each day, the team selects a question from the board in a Jeopardy format and discusses it together during a morning huddle or team meeting. Questions are designed across multiple categories such as different departments, operational procedures, compliance topics, member service scenarios, and high impact questions focused on creating member loyalty and exceptional service experiences.
The activity encourages participation from all team members, including newer employees, by creating a safe environment for learning and discussion. It also promotes teamwork by allowing staff to share knowledge, talk through real situations, and learn from one another’s experiences.
Over time, the Jeopardy board becomes a consistent learning tool that reinforces key expectations and helps the team stay sharp on service standards and operational accuracy. It also adds an element of friendly competition and excitement to daily huddles.
Example categories may include:
• Member Service Scenarios
• Products and Services
• Policies and Procedures
• Compliance and Security
• Member Loyalty and Experience
• Branch Operations
• Team Knowledge
Because the board is used regularly, it may need to be refreshed or updated periodically to keep content relevant, engaging, and aligned with current initiatives, procedures, and organizational goals.
Benefits of this activity include:
• Reinforcing product and procedure knowledge
• Improving confidence and accuracy
• Encouraging participation and discussion
• Supporting new employee learning and onboarding
• Strengthening member experience focus
• Creating engagement during daily huddles
• Making learning fun and interactive
This Jeopardy style approach helps transform routine training into an engaging experience that keeps learning active, consistent, and enjoyable for the entire team.
