Financial Institution: Tucson Federal Credit Union
The Annual Themed Staff Meeting is a special all staff event held each Columbus Day, bringing employees from across the credit union together for a day of connection, learning, and fun. Since branches are closed for the holiday, employees spend the day engaging with teammates they may not regularly see, meeting new staff members, and participating in interactive activities designed to encourage relationships across departments.
The event typically includes guest speakers, team activities, a continental breakfast, and lunch, all centered around a fun annual theme. Employees also receive a floating holiday to use later in the year, and the day often wraps up early. In recent years, the event has also included a food drive organized by the Empower Committee, combining team engagement with giving back to the community through donations and raffle prizes.
