This branch celebrated National Smile Power Day as a fun, high-energy community engagement event designed to bring positivity into the store and spark conversations with shoppers and employees. The team created a welcoming atmosphere using smile-themed decorations, including a decorated blackboard and staff uniforms accented with smiley face buttons. Employees actively engaged customers during aisle walks, offering smiley face buttons and using friendly greetings such as “Let us put a smile on your face!” to encourage interaction.

To extend the celebration, smile-themed cookies and cupcakes were shared from the bakery, adding a simple but memorable touch. A PA announcement invited shoppers to visit the branch and learn more about competitive deposit rates while thanking them for shopping in-store.

With a budget of $50–$75, the goal was to increase visibility, create positive engagement, and encourage new checking account conversations. The celebration resulted in 5 new accounts and several additional inquiries.
