Spooktacular Savings Stop

Spooktacular Savings Stop is a community focused Halloween event that builds positive local relationships while introducing families to meaningful savings opportunities for their children.

Embrace the Halloween spirit with your Spooktacular Savings Stop, a community event hosted at the branch that welcomes local elementary school children and their families for a fun, safe, and festive Halloween experience.

Invite children in the community to visit the branch in their Halloween costumes during a designated time window, such as 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Each child will receive a special Halloween treat as a thank you for stopping by. Treat options may include custom printed trick or treat bags filled with goodies or a jumbo candy bar.

This event is designed to create a welcoming community experience while also introducing families to helpful financial tools for their children.

As parents accompany their little ghouls and ghosts, team members will take the opportunity to introduce the minor savings account in a simple and conversational way. Each parent will receive a brochure or flyer with clear information about the account and how it supports building strong financial habits from an early age.

To help the event run smoothly, consider assigning light roles for staff such as:
• A welcome team to greet and guide families as they arrive
• A team member to hand out treats and engage with children
• A team member available to speak with parents about youth savings accounts

Suggested talking points for staff include a warm welcome, a brief explanation of the benefits of the minor savings account, and an invitation to learn more or open an account at their convenience.

A sign in sheet can be used to capture interest for future follow up conversations and to continue building relationships with attending families.

Encourage team participation by dressing up on October 31st to help bring energy and excitement to the event.
