Helping Nonprofits Share Their Story

Financial Institution: P1FCU

The credit union recently highlighted one of its nonprofit business members, the YWCA, and the important work the organization does in the community. A member of the marketing team sat down with the YWCA’s Director of Development & Engagement to learn more about its mission, the services it provides, the impact it has on individuals and families, and how community support helps further its work.

The credit union shared the interview through an online article and paired the feature with photos showcasing its involvement with the YWCA over the years. Past activities included Soup-port Our Shelters and a school supply distribution, demonstrating that the relationship extends beyond simply providing financial services.

Consider creating a similar nonprofit business member spotlight at your financial institution. Interview a nonprofit customer/member, share its story through your website and social media channels, and highlight ways your team has supported the organization.

Include information about how customers/members and others in the community can get involved. A business spotlight can provide valuable exposure for the nonprofit while strengthening your financial institution’s connection to the organization and its mission.
