Credit Clinic

Financial Institution: Family Savings Credit Union

Family Savings Credit Union hosted its inaugural Credit Clinic at Georgia Highlands College’s Cartersville campus as part of its commitment to providing free financial education in the community.

The Credit Clinic offered students one-on-one sessions where they could ask individual questions and receive personalized guidance about credit and financial decisions. Students learned more about understanding their credit, ways to build or improve their credit, and steps they can take to make informed financial choices.

This is a great example of taking financial education beyond the branch and meeting people where they are. By partnering with a local college, Family Savings Credit Union is helping students strengthen their financial knowledge while building valuable relationships within the community.

Smart Cart Tip: Consider partnering with a local college, high school, employer, or community organization to host a Credit Clinic. Offering one-on-one conversations creates an opportunity to provide personalized financial education while positioning your financial institution as a trusted community resource.
