A little surprise can make someone’s day!

During September, the Salem In-Store Branch team takes kindness outside the branch and into Walmart. The team selects five shoppers at random and invites each person back to the branch to choose an apple shaped gift card holder from a bowl.

Each handmade apple includes a thoughtful message on the back and reveals the gift card the shopper has won. One of the branch tellers created the apple holders, adding an extra personal touch to the activity.

It’s a simple way to surprise shoppers, connect with the community, and give team members an opportunity to experience the joy of giving.
